A hand-carved catlinite pipe body of deep red hues. The body is rectangular in form with a rounded top face, a tapered mouthpiece, and an integral ovoid receptacle. Intricately incised motifs around the composition include a scalloped ring around the receptacle rim as well as a wide 'eye' motif on either side. Tin inlays around the pipe body include a petite turtle comprising the pupil of each 'eye' as well as several circular dots and triangular panels around the remaining surface area. Size: 6.6" L x 3.875" H
