19th Century Sioux bear claw necklace. Covered with sheared otter, and 17 claws and red white heart beads. It is wrapped in sheared otter fur and fastened with sinew. The rear of the neck is wrapped with trade cloth and sinew. Claws have been dyed red. Overall piece shows some heavy wear. 27" Ex. South Dakota Collection.
