Strongbox is from Kansas; original paint and numbered 3704 multiple times including the inside. Did have original and old receipts inside marked "Railroad Express Agency." The safe was made by Herring-Hall-Marvin Safe Co. This was a consolidation of Hall's Safe and Lock Co. Cincinnati, Marvin Safe Co. New York City and Farrel & Co. and Meyers & Smith, Philadelphia. The groundbreaking ceremonies in 1896. They had nearly 50% of the world's safe and vault production and were contracted to make the strongboxes for Railway Express. There we also several older receipts laying in the bottom of the box.
