New Model 1863 metalic cartridge conversion. Serial #C72, .52 calm 21" barrel. Right receiver stamped "R.S. Lawrence, pat. April 12, 1859/C. Sharps' pat. Oct 5, 1852." Mfg. 1867. With inspector's cartouche on left but stock behind trigger guard Z, and a C on left side plate. 6 groove barrel. stock said to have been broken over a warrior's head.
