(1879-1969) Oil on canvas; 26″ x 36″. Born in a log cabin in Canon City, Colorado, amidst cowboys, prospectors, and lndians—all the characters on the Western stage. Studied art at Yale, while earning his law degree. He was featured by “Harper’s, Scribner’s and the American”. Amick felt “his most rewarding paintings would be of the West he knew, mountains, brilliant sun, vivid desert colors, and the movement of riders and horses.” Well framed.
