Brass tinder box. This one has a candle socket on the cover. The candle would be lit from the top and used to transfer the fire to other candles or to light a fireplace. Tinder box is complete with doubter, striker and flint. The disc is a doubter used to put out char cloth used to light the candle. Not a common piece.
