(1912-1978). Oil on canvas; 14″x18″. Son of a cowboy, Powell was raised in Apgar, MT, on the south side of Lake McDonald. His father was a stable boss, guide and tracker for Glacier National Park. As a boy, he watched Charles Russell paint in the Bull’s Head Lodge in Apgar. Ex property of Reserve National Insurance Company, Oklahoma City, OK.
